Special Weather Alert Issued for Miami, Hialeah, and Miami Beach Until 2:45 PM

Hey everyone, if you're in the Miami-Dade area, listen up! A special weather alert has been issued for Miami, Hialeah, and Miami Beach, lasting until 2:45 p.m. today. After weeks of dry conditions, South Florida is finally getting some much-needed rain, but with it comes some strong storms. The National Weather Service has warned that some of these storms could be severe, so make sure you stay weather-aware.

This morning started off warm and muggy, pretty typical for Miami this time of year. But now, we’re seeing a shift as a cold front moves in. Winds from the southwest are pushing through, and temperatures are expected to drop into the 60s and 70s later today. That might be a bit of a relief after the recent heat.

If you’re out and about, be cautious—these weather conditions can change quickly. The rain is expected to come in waves, and some areas might experience heavy downpours, gusty winds, and even some isolated thunderstorms. Flash flooding in low-lying areas is always a possibility when we get storms like this, so avoid roads prone to flooding and take extra care if you’re driving.

The good news? This rain is expected to clear up by Wednesday, with drier conditions returning soon after. So while today might be a bit stormy, we should be back to sunny skies soon enough.
