The play, which originally opened on London’s West End in December 2023, quickly garnered critical acclaim. With the seal of approval from Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, the production went on to win two Olivier Awards—one for set design and another for best entertainment or comedy play. But things take a dark turn when mysterious crimes begin to shake the town, hinting at Henry’s connection to something far more sinister.

The play’s Broadway adaptation, featuring a stellar cast including Alison Jaye, Burke Swanson, and Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight, is set to officially open on April 22 at the Marriott Marquis Theatre. Before that, Behind the Curtain will offer a glimpse into the creative process behind this ambitious production. Directed by Stephen Daldry, the documentary will showcase the magic of blending television storytelling with the immersive experience of theater. Daldry himself has teased that there are moments in the play where audiences will be left wondering, "How did they pull that off?"
