The Long-Awaited JFK Assassination Files Are Finally Being Released

Alright, folks, this is huge. After decades of speculation, secrecy, and countless conspiracy theories, we are finally getting a look at the long-classified JFK assassination files. President Donald Trump has made it official—on Tuesday, approximately 80,000 unredacted documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy will be released to the public. And according to Trump himself, these files are going to be "very interesting."

Now, let’s take a step back. For years, people have demanded full transparency regarding what really happened on that fateful day in Dallas, November 22, 1963. While previous administrations, including those of Biden and even Trump’s first term, have released some JFK-related documents, many remained classified due to national security concerns. But now, Trump is going all in—no redactions, no holdbacks. Just the raw files that have been locked away for decades.

During his visit to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Trump made it clear that he doesn’t want anything censored. "You got a lot of reading. I don’t believe we’re going to redact anything. I said, ‘just don’t redact, you can’t redact,’” he stated. His decision follows an executive order he signed earlier this year to declassify not just the JFK assassination files, but also documents related to the assassinations of his brother Robert F. Kennedy and civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.

But why now? Well, it could be linked to Trump’s longstanding campaign promise to reveal the truth about JFK’s death. While in office, he had previously delayed some releases after pushback from intelligence agencies, but now, with this latest move, it appears that he is making good on that promise. The timing also comes just weeks after the release of a batch of Jeffrey Epstein-related documents, which left many disappointed due to their lack of new revelations. Perhaps this JFK file release is meant to make up for that.

For now, all we can do is wait and see. But one thing’s for sure—the truth, or at least a version of it, is finally coming to light.
