Winter Storm Continues in Minnesota but Relief is on the Way
Hey everyone, if you're out and about in Minnesota today, be prepared for some rough road conditions. This lingering winter storm has been making its way through the state, and we’re still seeing snow, wind, and reduced visibility. But here’s the good news—things will start to calm down later today!
According to meteorologist Ken Barlow, the snow will continue through noon, with another 1 to 3 inches expected in some areas. On top of that, strong winds will keep causing blowing and drifting snow, making travel conditions hazardous throughout the day. If you’re driving, be extra careful and give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 3 p.m., but once we get past that, we’ll start to see some big improvements. By this afternoon, the clouds will break up, the sun will peek through, and temperatures will rise to around 32 degrees. That should help clear up some of the snow-packed roads.
And here’s the really exciting part—this stretch of winter weather is finally giving way to some milder conditions! Starting tomorrow, we’ll see drier and warmer weather, with temperatures gradually climbing. By Sunday, we could hit nearly 50 degrees! That’s a big shift from where we are now, and it’ll definitely be a welcome change for anyone eager for spring to arrive.
So, hang in there! The worst of this storm is almost over. If you have to go out, drive safely, watch out for icy spots, and take it slow. But if you can stay inside and wait it out, that might be the best plan. Warmer, calmer days are just around the corner! Stay safe, Minnesota!
