Panthers Parade 2025: Fort Lauderdale Turns Red for Championship Celebration

I’m standing here soaking in the atmosphere on what might just be the most electric Sunday of the year — the Florida Panthers’ Stanley Cup championship parade is finally here! After a dominating 5-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6, the Cats are celebrating back-to-back championships in true South Florida style: under the sun, beside the ocean, and in front of a sea of roaring fans.

Starting at noon sharp, the parade rolled down A1A from Riomar Street, making its way through the heart of Fort Lauderdale Beach. The energy is absolutely unreal. Fans were already lining the streets by early morning, decked out in red jerseys, waving flags, blasting air horns — the whole city has turned into Panthers territory for the day.

It’s more than a parade — it’s a full-on rallying cry of pride and passion. Once the procession wraps up at SE 5th Street, the celebration doesn’t stop. A massive rally is taking place at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, just across from Hotel Maren. Players, coaches, and staff are hopping off their floats to pour champagne, hoist the Cup, and connect with fans who’ve ridden every second of this season’s emotional rollercoaster.

Getting here hasn’t been easy for everyone — parking is tight, and traffic on the barrier island is wild. City officials have recommended ride shares, water taxis, and Broward County’s free express bus service to help manage the crowd. And trust me, the crowd is huge — over 125,000 people are expected to be here today!

Security is tight, but spirits are higher. There are emergency medical teams on-site, hydration tents set up, and even wristbands being handed out to kids in case they get separated. Everyone is looking out for one another, Panthers-style.

The whole event, even with its logistical challenges and the summer heat, is being called a worthwhile investment in the city’s image. You can’t pay for this kind of publicity — a beach city, a championship team, and a fanbase that knows how to party. This is Fort Lauderdale at its finest.

Today is more than just a celebration of a hockey team. It’s a celebration of resilience, culture, and community. From Sunrise to the sand, the Florida Panthers have once again reminded us why we bleed red in South Florida. Panthers fans — enjoy every second of this. You earned it.
