Saint John Gears Up for a Spectacular Canada Day 2025 Celebration on the Waterfront

Hey everyone! I’ve got some exciting news—Canada Day 2025 in Saint John is shaping up to be one of the most unforgettable celebrations yet. If you're anywhere near the city on July 1st, you’ll want to be at the waterfront for an all-day festival that promises fun, entertainment, and a real sense of community spirit.

This year, the City of Saint John is teaming up once again with AREA 506 to present the fourth annual Canada Day Waterfront Festival. The festivities kick off at noon and run all the way until 10:00 p.m., with events happening at both Ihtoli-Maqahamok – The Gathering Space and the vibrant Container Village at 85 Water Street. These two locations are just a short stroll apart, making it super easy to catch every moment of the action.

What’s on the schedule? Pretty much everything! We’re talking ethnocultural performances, a stellar lineup of live music, a circus school, magic shows, games, and even photo ops with princesses and superheroes—yes, really! Families are going to love the interactive atmosphere and all the chances to create some truly magical memories.

The day officially kicks off at 1:00 p.m. with opening remarks and a ceremonial cake cutting at the Boardwalk Stage. Then the music takes over, with bands like Dram & a Draw, Artificially Hip, and Slowcoaster lighting up the stage. Over at the Container Village, Canadian champion magician Nathaniel Rankin will wow the crowds with both stage shows and close-up magic, while local talents and high-energy bands keep the vibe electric.

And of course, what’s a Canada Day celebration without fireworks? The grand finale takes place at Long Wharf at 10:00 p.m. with a fireworks display that’s sure to light up the sky and leave everyone in awe—weather permitting, of course.

All of this is free to the public and made possible thanks to support from the Government of Canada. So whether you’re a local or visiting the city, make sure to mark your calendar. Saint John is ready to roll out the red and white carpet for Canada Day 2025, and trust me—you don’t want to miss it.
