Costco Urges Shoppers to Stop Using These Recalled Products Immediately

Hey everyone — listen up if you’ve been shopping at Costco recently, because there have been several urgent product recalls you need to know about. This isn’t just about returning something you didn’t like. We’re talking potential safety risks, health concerns, and even a few items that could cause serious injury.

So what’s going on? Costco has flagged nearly a dozen items in the past few months that have been recalled — and some of these are being sold through their “Costco Next” program, where you buy directly from the brand but at Costco prices. Others were sold through regular Costco warehouses. Either way, if you picked up any of these items, you’ll want to check your purchases ASAP.

Let’s start with two Anker power banks — the Power Bank 10K, Model A1257, and the Powercore 10000, Model A1263. Both have been recalled for issues with overheating and potential fire hazards. Anker is advising everyone to stop using them immediately. Even if your device seems fine, don’t risk it. Lithium-ion battery problems aren’t something to ignore.

Then there’s the Danby 8K U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner and various Midea U-Shape models. These units may retain too much water and could promote mold growth — a serious concern for people with respiratory issues. The advice? Again, stop using them.

Tire recalls are also on the list — Michelin Agilis CrossClimate and Bridgestone Blizzak 6. The Michelin tires may lose chunks of tread, and the Bridgestone ones are missing a crucial safety certification seal. It doesn’t matter if they seem to perform okay — missing that seal could mean improper use or installation.

And it doesn’t stop there. BowFlex Adjustable Dumbbells are being recalled for a risk of weight plates detaching mid-use. Topo Chico Mineral Water sold in select areas may be contaminated with bacteria that’s risky for people with weak immune systems. Fresh & Ready sandwiches and salads from business center locations in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington are also being recalled due to potential Listeria contamination.

And perhaps the most surprising — the Igloo 90 Qt Flip & Tow Cooler has a design flaw that can literally amputate fingertips due to how the tow handle closes. It’s a serious risk. Stop using it now if you have one.

There’s even a Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker + Air Fryer being recalled because the lid might be opened while it’s still pressurized. That could lead to severe burns.

Here’s the bottom line: If you’ve bought any of these items recently — or even within the past year — check the recall notices on Costco’s website. The Product Recalls section has all the latest updates. You can also look up broader recalls through the CPSC, FDA, USDA, and NHTSA websites — they have searchable databases and updates listed in reverse chronological order.

As for returns, Costco is generally flexible — they allow returns on most items without a time limit, though electronics have a 90-day window. But remember, recalls are different. You’ll want to follow the specific recall instructions, which usually involve stopping use and contacting the brand for a refund or replacement.

Stay safe out there — and don’t ignore those product recall notices. It only takes a minute to check, and it might prevent a serious injury or worse.
