July 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Goes Official Tomorrow
So, it’s finally official—Nintendo has confirmed the July 2025 Nintendo Direct, and yes, the rumors were true. But here’s the catch: it’s going to be a Partner Showcase , not a full-blown first-party extravaganza. That means tomorrow’s presentation is all about third-party games coming to both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
Now, if you’re hoping for the next big Zelda or Mario reveal, you might want to dial those expectations back a bit. Since it’s a Partner Showcase, anything from Nintendo’s own studios likely won’t make an appearance. But that doesn’t mean the event will be a snoozefest—there’s still a lot to be curious about.

The showcase is set to go live on July 31st at 6 AM PT , which translates to 9 AM Eastern, 2 PM in the UK, and 3 PM in Europe . It’ll be a fairly short one—about 25 minutes long —but that should be enough time to give us a solid glimpse at some of the third-party titles lined up for both the current Switch and its next-gen successor.
One game already making waves ahead of the showcase is Garden Life , which seems to have been accidentally revealed early by Nippon Ichi Software. It popped up briefly on their Japanese social media account before being deleted, but not before Reddit users managed to grab screenshots. From what’s been gathered, Garden Life is a countryside life sim from the team behind the Yomawari series—known more for their eerie horror atmosphere than cozy farming adventures. So, this is definitely a big shift in tone for the studio.
The game is being described as a relaxing experience with elements of exploration and day-to-day life, possibly in the same spirit as Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons . It’s scheduled to launch in July 2026 and will be coming to multiple platforms, including the Switch 2, Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam. A limited edition with some exclusive goodies was also teased in the now-deleted post.
Whether Garden Life makes an appearance in the showcase remains to be seen, but the timing of the leak is a little too perfect to ignore. Nintendo fans are used to surprises, and this Partner Showcase might just have a few tucked away—just not the ones you might usually expect.
So yeah, mark your calendars, set your alarms, and get ready for some third-party goodness tomorrow. Even without first-party giants, there’s still plenty to look forward to.
