Tomorrowland May Finally Land in Melbourne in 2026
So, this is huge news for electronic dance music fans down under—there’s growing buzz that Tomorrowland , one of the biggest and most iconic EDM festivals in the world, might finally be coming to Australia, specifically Melbourne, in 2026. And if it does happen, it would be the very first time the legendary festival hits Aussie soil.
Now, none of this has been officially confirmed by the Tomorrowland team yet, but here’s where all the speculation is coming from. Over the weekend at the 2025 Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, some pretty observant attendees walking toward the CORE stage spotted something pretty telling—a poster with a world map showing Melbourne marked for November 2026. Los Angeles was also marked for May of that year. A video of the poster made its way to TikTok, and naturally, it got people talking.

If this turns out to be legit, then Australia—more specifically Melbourne—could be the next major destination on Tomorrowland’s global expansion list. Previously, the festival has taken place in the US, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. There are also whispers that Thailand could join that list in 2026 too.
But there’s a twist—it’s unclear whether Melbourne would get the full Tomorrowland experience or if it’ll just be the CORE stage making the trip. The CORE stage was introduced in 2017 and has kind of become its own brand within the Tomorrowland universe. It’s already had standalone shows in places like Tulum, Mexico, and MedellÃn, Colombia, featuring big-name artists like Vintage Culture, Maceo Plex, Disclosure, and Paul Kalkbrenner, just to name a few.
Either way, fans are already excited. Melbourne is known for its electric nightlife and deep love for dance music, so it would definitely be a fitting city for a Tomorrowland debut.
Now, while we wait for official confirmation, all eyes are on Tomorrowland’s social media and website. If the rumors are true, this would be a massive deal for the Australian music scene.
And just as a side note, this year’s Tomorrowland in Belgium almost didn’t happen—the main stage was destroyed by a fire just 48 hours before opening. But thanks to an incredible team effort, a new stage was built in time, and the show went on with acts like Charlotte de Witte, Armin van Buuren, and Darren Styles lighting it up.
So, whether it’s the full-blown festival or a CORE event, the possibility of Tomorrowland coming to Melbourne is exciting—and it might just make 2026 the most unforgettable year for Aussie ravers yet.
