So, here’s the buzz around the upcoming football season that’s really caught my attention. On August 9th, there’s a pretty interesting match lined up between two freshly promoted sides in the Enterprise National League North—Macclesfield FC and Worksop Town FC. Worksop Town, also known as the Tigers, are traveling to Macclesfield’s home ground, Leasing.com Stadium, for what promises to be a tightly contested game.
Worksop Town have had a solid pre-season so far. They recently played to a 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe United, a National League side, which is a respectable result. On the other hand, Macclesfield’s pre-season ended with a narrow 3-2 loss to Manchester City’s Under-21 team. Despite that, Macclesfield’s overall pre-season record is strong—they’ve played six games and won half of them, showing they’re well prepared to face this new challenge.
