North Berwick Harbour Market Returns With Local Flavour and Festive Vibes

So, something really lovely is happening again in North Berwick—this Saturday, the much-loved North Berwick Harbour Market is making its return, and it's shaping up to be a brilliant day out for everyone. The market, which pops up on the second Saturday of each month, is known for celebrating the very best that East Lothian’s local businesses have to offer, and this weekend will be no exception.

From 11am to 3pm, the harbour area is going to come alive with stalls offering everything from handmade crafts to delicious treats and original artwork. It’s one of those community events that just has a warm, friendly buzz about it—where you can chat with local makers, sample amazing food, and maybe even pick up a few early gifts or something special for yourself.

One of the highlights? Definitely the food. Two local favourites—Jamie’s Backyard Slice and the Lobster Shack—will be serving up tasty dishes throughout the day. Whether you're craving a proper slice of wood-fired pizza or something fresh from the sea, you’ll be well-fed.

As for the market stalls, expect to find everything from artisan cookies by Denny’s Cookies to the lovely natural scents of Tyninghame Candles. There’ll be organic produce from Phantassie, handcrafted jewellery by Lu Sea Lu, and even unique seaside finds at Beaus Beach Finds. It’s a real celebration of local talent and creativity.

The atmosphere will be lifted even further by live performances from the North Berwick Pipe Band, who are scheduled to play at 12:15 and again at 1:15. It adds such a wonderful Scottish flair to the event—really gives you that sense of place.

And it’s not just about shopping and food. The market always supports a good cause, and this month’s charity stall will be run by the RNLI. Volunteers will be raising funds by selling various items, all in support of their essential lifesaving work. Plus, the Beach Huts will be open, adding even more colour and character to the event.

The whole thing is being organised by East Lothian Food & Drink in collaboration with the North Berwick Harbour Trust, and they’re also joining in with the Scotland Loves Local initiative—which is all about backing community businesses and keeping our towns thriving.

So if you're in the area this weekend, North Berwick Harbour is definitely the place to be. It's the perfect excuse to get outside, support local traders, and enjoy a taste of everything that makes East Lothian special.
