Real Madrid Cruise to a Confident 4-0 Win Over WSG Tirol in Innsbruck
Hey, have you heard about Real Madrid's latest friendly match? It was a real statement ahead of their LaLiga season kickoff. They played against WSG Tirol in Innsbruck and absolutely dominated, cruising to a 4-0 victory that had everyone talking.
Right from the start, Real Madrid came out firing. Mbappé was particularly on fire—he was relentless and caused plenty of problems for the Tirol defense. In fact, just eight minutes in, he unleashed a shot that forced the home goalkeeper into a nervous punch away. Then, Arda Güler had a crack too, smashing a powerful shot that hit the crossbar—so close to opening the scoring!
But the breakthrough came shortly after, around the 10th minute, when Militão headed in a beautiful cross from Brahim. That goal set the tone for the rest of the match. Real Madrid kept their grip on the game, and only minutes later, Mbappé made it 2-0 with a cool, left-footed strike after a perfect pass from Arda Güler.

The team showed total dominance in the first half, with Brahim nearly adding a third before halftime. WSG Tirol did try to push back a little but really couldn’t find a way through Madrid’s defense or midfield pressure.
After the break, the pressure continued. Arda Güler had another close call when his free kick hit the bar—just inches from scoring again. Then, around the hour mark, Mbappé completed his brace. Tchouameni’s clever long pass found him, and Mbappé calmly rounded the goalkeeper to slot home the third goal.
With a comfortable lead, coach Xabi Alonso began bringing on some fresh faces—Lunin, Carvajal, Rodrygo, and others. Rodrygo later put the finishing touch on the game, scoring the fourth goal after linking up well with Mbappé, firing a fierce shot past the keeper.
WSG Tirol had a couple of chances, including a one-on-one with Lunin that was expertly saved, but Real Madrid’s defense and keeper were rock solid.
The match also marked the Madrid debut for Carreras and later on for Thiago and Roberto Martín, who all got valuable minutes. It was a confident, clinical performance that should have the Madridistas feeling optimistic.
Now, the focus shifts to the upcoming LaLiga opener against Osasuna at the Bernabéu, scheduled for next Tuesday night. After this strong display, expectations are high that Real Madrid will kick off their season in style.
