Tom Cruise’s Final Mission: Impossible Now Streaming at Home
Tom Cruise has returned one last time as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning , and fans can finally watch the explosive finale from home. After an intense theatrical run that began back in May 2025, the film has now made its way to digital platforms. For those who missed it on the big screen, or for anyone eager to relive the non-stop action, the movie can now be purchased on Prime Video, Apple TV+, and Fandango at Home.
This film is billed as the concluding chapter in the Mission: Impossible saga, serving as a direct sequel to 2023’s Dead Reckoning Part One . Christopher McQuarrie returned to direct, guiding Cruise through another round of gravity-defying stunts. The story pits Ethan Hunt against a terrifying new threat—an all-powerful artificial intelligence known as “the Entity.” The stakes are as high as ever, with Ethan and his loyal team, including Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Hayley Atwell, forced into a globe-spanning race to stop humanity’s destruction.

The movie earned a strong reception. Critics gave it solid reviews, while audiences embraced it even more, praising the action sequences and emotional callbacks to earlier films. At the box office, it pulled in nearly $600 million worldwide, though it fell short of the franchise record held by Mission: Impossible – Fallout . Still, many reviewers described it as a worthy, almost “Avengers: Endgame”-style sendoff for Cruise’s legendary character.
At home, the experience is being expanded with plenty of bonus material. Behind-the-scenes featurettes reveal how jaw-dropping stunts were filmed, from biplane chases to underwater escapes and even sequences shot in the Arctic. Deleted scenes, filmmaker commentaries, and music spotlights add even more layers for fans who love to peek behind the curtain. There’s even a Guinness World Record moment featuring Cruise himself, earning recognition for his breathtaking parachute stunts.
Physical media collectors won’t be left out either. The 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions are set to arrive in early October 2025, complete with the same extras. And while Paramount hasn’t given an exact date yet, the film is expected to eventually land on Paramount+ sometime in the fall.
The biggest question, of course, is whether this really marks the end of the Mission: Impossible franchise. Marketing has leaned heavily on the “final chapter” idea, and Cruise himself has called it the last mission for Ethan Hunt. Still, in interviews, he’s hinted that his career is far from slowing down. He joked that he’ll keep making movies not just into his 80s, but even into his 100s. So while Ethan Hunt may be retiring, Tom Cruise certainly isn’t.
For now, fans can strap in and enjoy one more wild ride with one of Hollywood’s most iconic action heroes, as The Final Reckoning brings two decades of missions to a thrilling close.
