AirPods Pro 3 Redefine Personal Audio
Apple has just unveiled the AirPods Pro 3, and it feels like the company has taken wireless headphones to a whole new level. These aren’t just earbuds for listening to music anymore—they’re becoming an all-in-one personal audio, fitness, and even communication tool.
The first thing Apple emphasized is sound. The AirPods Pro 3 now come with what’s being described as the world’s best in-ear Active Noise Cancellation. Apple says noise is reduced up to twice as much compared to the last generation and four times more than the very first AirPods Pro. That means whether you’re on a noisy subway or in a busy café, outside distractions can be cut down dramatically, letting the music or podcast come through with clarity. And thanks to a re-engineered acoustic design, bass is deeper, vocals are clearer, and the soundstage feels wider—so you hear every detail.
The design has been upgraded as well. Apple reportedly studied more than 10,000 ear scans to create a better fit. The new foam-infused tips now come in five sizes, even an extra-extra small, so more people get a secure and comfortable fit. They’ve also been made tougher, with IP57 water and sweat resistance, meaning they can handle a workout in the rain or an intense gym session.

Speaking of workouts, Apple added something completely new—heart rate sensing. Built-in sensors now allow AirPods Pro 3 to measure heart rate during exercise, syncing directly with the Fitness app. More than 50 workout types can be tracked this way, with real-time feedback and personalized coaching features powered by Apple Intelligence. For many users, these earbuds could almost replace a fitness band during training sessions.
Another groundbreaking addition is Live Translation. With this feature, conversations in different languages can happen in real time. Imagine being in another country, putting on your AirPods, and having spoken words translated directly in your ears. At launch, it supports several languages, including English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with more to come by year’s end.
Battery life has been improved too. With noise cancellation on, up to eight hours of playback is now possible, a solid boost over the previous model. And for those who rely on Transparency mode to stay aware of their surroundings, battery life in that mode is up by nearly 70 percent.
Apple also highlighted health and accessibility. Hearing protection tools, automatic conversation boost in noisy spaces, and an easier way to take at-home hearing tests have all been built in. On top of that, AirPods Pro 3 are designed with sustainability in mind—using recycled cobalt in the battery, recycled plastics in the case, and fully fiber-based packaging.
Pre-orders are already open, with availability starting September 19 at $249. With these upgrades, AirPods Pro 3 aren’t just about better sound—they’re about creating a smarter, healthier, and more connected listening experience.
