India Triumphs Over Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 Thriller
India and Pakistan once again lit up the cricketing world with a high-voltage clash in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four, played under the bright lights of Dubai. The atmosphere was electric, the stakes were high, and both teams came with a point to prove. By the end of the night, it was India who walked away victorious, clinching the game by six wickets with seven balls to spare.
Pakistan, after being asked to bat first by Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav, looked strong in the initial phase. Their innings was powered by Sahibzada Farhan, who played a stylish knock of 58 runs off 45 balls. He shared a valuable 72-run stand with Saim Ayub, giving Pakistan a promising start at 91 for 1 in the first half of the innings. But momentum was lost soon after. Indian bowlers, led by Shivam Dube, tightened their grip. Dube struck twice at crucial moments, removing both Ayub and Farhan, and finished with 2 wickets for 33 runs in his four overs. Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy may not have picked up big numbers in the wickets column, but their discipline dried up runs when Pakistan needed acceleration.

Despite a flurry of late runs from Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Nawaz, Pakistan could only manage 171 for 5. Jasprit Bumrah, usually India’s go-to man, struggled this time, conceding freely in his spell. Even so, India walked into the chase with confidence, knowing the surface was friendly for batting.
What followed was a show of fearless stroke play. Abhishek Sharma, the young left-hander, set the tone from the very first ball, smashing Shaheen Afridi over fine leg for six. Alongside him, his childhood friend Shubman Gill was calm and classy, and together they stitched a century opening stand. Abhishek raced to his half-century in just 24 balls, the fastest by an Indian against Pakistan in T20s, while Gill added a fluent 47 before falling to Faheem Ashraf.
The chase was not without hiccups—Suryakumar Yadav fell cheaply, and Sanju Samson’s short stay ended with Haris Rauf hitting the stumps. But the platform had already been laid. Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya guided the innings home, with Tilak finishing things off in style by dispatching Shaheen for a mighty six.
For India, the night belonged to Abhishek Sharma, whose 74 off 40 balls was the decisive knock. His aggressive approach not only silenced Pakistan’s bowling attack but also set the rhythm for the entire innings. The six-wicket win keeps India’s campaign strong and once again reminds fans why an India–Pakistan clash is never short of drama, passion, and unforgettable cricket.
