Former reality TV star Lachlan Rofe, who first rose to public attention as part of the original cast of Married At First Sight , has sadly passed away at the age of 47. His death was confirmed by loved ones earlier this week, though the exact cause has not yet been made public.

Back in 2015, Rofe appeared on the debut season of the hit dating experiment, where he was paired with Clare Tamas. His down-to-earth personality and background as a cattle farmer made him a memorable figure in the series, and just a year later, he returned to television on Farmer Wants A Wife . It was during that show that he met Belinda Reid, with whom he shared a brief relationship. However, their connection ended before the finale aired.
Despite his television exposure, life off-screen wasn’t always smooth for Rofe. In 2016, controversy followed when he was accused of assaulting a then-girlfriend, Kasey Williams. She claimed the incident had occurred at his Sydney property and in the presence of her young daughter.
