VALORANT Finally Adds Replay System in Patch 11.06
Big news is shaking up the VALORANT community today, and it’s something players have been asking for since the game’s launch back in 2020. With Patch 11.06, Riot Games has finally introduced a full Replay System to the game, and it’s rolling out across Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, and Premier modes. This is one of the most requested features in VALORANT’s history, and it looks like Riot has finally delivered on that promise.
The Replay System was designed as a built-in tool, meaning no third-party downloads or complicated setups are required. Players can simply open up their match history, select the replay icon on a game they want to review, and instantly jump back in. From there, they can watch the match from any of the ten participants’ perspectives, use free camera mode, fast forward, slow down, and even toggle outlines to get a clear sense of what was happening at any point in time. For those trying to improve or study their mistakes, this is a game-changer.

For now, the feature is only available on PC, but console players won’t have to wait too long. Riot has confirmed that Replay support will be arriving on consoles this November, giving every platform a chance to take advantage of the same tools. China will also see its rollout in October, as Patch 11.07b hits their servers.
Of course, this update isn’t just about replays. Riot also announced that over the last six months, around 40,000 bot accounts have been banned, aiming to clean up competitive integrity across the board. Bug fixes were applied as well, including one rare but odd glitch where Yoru and Reyna, after turning invisible, would sometimes snap back to their original spot once the ability ended. That’s been patched out, so no more strange teleporting surprises.
There are a few limitations with the Replay System that players should be aware of. Replays don’t record cosmetics or pre-round shop screens, and they can’t be shared between clients—you can only watch them on your own setup. Also, they’re not yet usable in Custom games, tournaments, or esports matches, though Riot has hinted they’ll continue evaluating future updates based on player feedback. Still, for the average competitive player, this system is a massive step forward.
Performance tweaks are also in play with Patch 11.06. The RawInputBuffer setting has been permanently enabled on PC because it was found to improve responsiveness. On consoles, there’s still a known issue where weapons and the Spike highlight incorrectly when players are simply nearby, though Riot has said that fix will be coming in Patch 11.07.
Overall, this patch may not shake up the Agent meta with buffs or nerfs, but the addition of Replays alone makes it one of the most impactful updates VALORANT has ever seen. Players now have the ability to break down their matches in detail, learn from mistakes, and relive their best moments—all without leaving the game client. After years of waiting, VALORANT finally has its Replay System, and it’s here to stay.
