Motsi Mabuse Opens Up About Her 15-Kilo Weight Loss Journey
“Let’s Dance” star and beloved TV personality Motsi Mabuse has surprised fans with a stunning transformation — she’s lost around 15 kilos and looks more radiant than ever. Known for her infectious energy, dazzling smile, and strong stance on body positivity, Motsi’s recent change has sparked a lot of curiosity. Now, the 44-year-old has decided to share what really motivated her and how she achieved this new balance in her life.
Motsi revealed in interviews with British outlets like The Sun and Fabulous magazine that her transformation wasn’t about chasing unrealistic beauty standards or giving in to social pressure. Instead, it was a personal decision rooted in health and well-being. Her doctor had encouraged her to move more and focus on her physical fitness. But the biggest reason, as she shared, was her daughter — Motsi wants to stay strong and healthy for as long as possible to be there for her little girl.

Her approach to weight loss has been entirely natural and disciplined. She overhauled her diet, cutting out processed foods and focusing on fresh ingredients — lots of nuts, fruits, and salads. Regular strength training has become part of her weekly routine to build muscle and boost her metabolism. On top of that, she visits the sauna three times a week and even takes ice baths, which she says help maintain her mental health. “I feel the cold plunges are really good for my mind,” she said.
Many were surprised by how different Motsi looked when the British version of Strictly Come Dancing — the UK’s equivalent of Let’s Dance — premiered this season. Gone were the curves that once symbolized her body-positivity message, replaced by a leaner and visibly stronger physique. But Motsi insists her message hasn’t changed. She still believes in loving oneself at every stage and every shape — only now, her focus is on longevity and feeling strong, not just looking a certain way.
She also admitted that she’s preparing her body for the natural changes of the coming years. “I’m getting ready for what’s ahead — for the menopause and everything that comes with it,” she said, noting how much misinformation and fear surround the topic. Instead of being afraid, she wants to be proactive.
Through all this, Motsi continues to inspire others with her authenticity. Whether she’s dazzling in a sequin gown on Let’s Dance or sharing her no-makeup selfies with her natural hair on Instagram, her message remains powerful: self-care, strength, and confidence come in many forms. Her journey isn’t about losing weight — it’s about gaining a new sense of balance, both physically and mentally.
