Slow Horses Season 6 Gears Up for High-Stakes Espionage and Explosive Twists
Fans of Slow Horses have plenty to celebrate—Apple TV+’s acclaimed spy drama isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Right after wrapping up its thrilling fifth season, the show has officially been renewed for Season 6, continuing its streak as one of the most consistent and well-loved espionage series on television. The upcoming season will dive even deeper into the world of Jackson Lamb and his ragtag team of MI5 rejects, and from what we’ve seen so far, the stakes are higher than ever.
Now, even though Apple TV+ hasn’t announced a specific premiere date, history gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect. Each season of Slow Horses has followed a steady release rhythm, dropping roughly once a year. That means we can likely look forward to Season 6 hitting screens in late 2026—possibly in the fall or winter, just like the past few installments. And, following tradition, fans can expect another six tightly packed episodes full of sharp dialogue, dark humor, and explosive spy action.

Season 6 will adapt not one but two of Mick Herron’s bestselling novels— Joe Country and Slough House —which are the sixth and seventh books in his famous “Slough House” series. According to early reports, the new season will see the Slow Horses “on the run” after Diana Taverner pulls them into a dangerous game of retaliation and revenge. That setup alone promises chaos, betrayal, and Lamb’s signature brand of sarcasm.
The teaser shown at the end of Season 5 gave fans an early taste of the drama to come. It begins with Lamb and Roddy Ho knocking on Emma Flyte’s door, only to be met with a shout of frustration. But when a young boy appears, curiosity kicks in. Lamb explains that the boy’s father stole a file containing the Slow Horses’ names—and now that man is dead, leaving the team in danger. From there, the trailer escalates quickly. Explosions, chases, and shadowy meetings fill the screen, while familiar faces like Taverner and Standish struggle to keep control amid growing chaos.
And of course, Slow Horses never forgets to sprinkle in its signature humor. In one standout moment, Lamb barks, “We need to address the five Fs—who the fuck, what the fuck, where the fuck, and why the fuck?” When corrected that’s only four, he fires back, “Fuck off—that’s five!” It’s classic Lamb—grumpy, sharp, and utterly unfiltered.
Even better news for fans: Apple TV+ has already renewed Slow Horses for a seventh season. That means the story of Lamb and his misfit spies will continue, with the next chapter reportedly focusing on a mole within the British government.
From the sound of it, Season 6 is shaping up to be one of the most intense yet—packed with action, wit, and that gritty charm that makes Slow Horses such a standout. Buckle up, because the spies of Slough House aren’t done causing trouble just yet.
