Season 5 takes fans back to Hawkins in the fall of 1987. The town is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united in a single mission: to find and defeat Vecna. But the villain has vanished, his whereabouts and plans unknown, adding tension and uncertainty to their quest. Things get even more complicated when the government places Hawkins under military quarantine and intensifies its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, a heavy sense of dread looms. The final battle promises a darkness more powerful than anything the friends have faced before, and the only way to survive is for everyone to come together one last time.
Fans can expect to see familiar faces like Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton, along with newcomers including Amybeth McNulty, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Linda Hamilton. The season will roll out in stages: the first four episodes drop on November 26, three more episodes will follow on Christmas, and the grand finale arrives on New Year’s Eve.
Beyond the screens, fans can immerse themselves in Hawkins-themed events, including a special bike ride in Los Angeles, custom Funko Pop! figures, and the Broadway show, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, during a weeklong celebration in November. With everything lined up, it’s shaping up to be one last unforgettable ride through Hawkins, full of suspense, nostalgia, and heart-pounding adventure. This is truly a finale you won’t want to miss.
