Cat Burns Postpones UK Tour to Prioritize Mental Health and Wellbeing
Singer-songwriter Cat Burns has made the heartfelt decision to postpone her highly anticipated UK tour, “How To Be Human,” originally scheduled to begin this November. The announcement, shared across her social media platforms, came as she admitted that the lead-up to the tour had been far more “intense” than she or her team expected. Burns explained that the move was essential for her to take care of her mental health and ensure she’s in the right headspace to perform at her best.
In her candid statement, the Celebrity Traitors star opened up about how much this tour and new album mean to her, calling it a “massive journey” that has been both exciting and overwhelming. The tour, which was set to start on November 10 at Glasgow’s O2 Academy and continue through major UK cities like Manchester, Brighton, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Bristol, and London, will now take place in April 2026. Burns also confirmed that all tickets would remain valid for the new dates, except for Wolverhampton, which could not be rebooked. To make up for it, a new show has been added in Birmingham.
Acknowledging the demanding nature of performing and traveling, Burns said, “Touring is incredibly demanding mentally and physically, and I want to make sure I’m taking care of my wellbeing so I’m in the right headspace to give you the show you deserve.” She expressed gratitude toward her fans for their “patience, kindness, and understanding,” emphasizing that decisions like this are never easy but necessary. She reassured everyone that she intends to return to the stage feeling her best, ready to give audiences “a night worth every moment of waiting.”

Alongside this announcement, Cat Burns released her deeply personal new album How To Be Human , which she described as her most vulnerable work yet. The record, which follows her 2024 Mercury Prize-shortlisted project Early Twenties , explores grief, heartbreak, and healing. Burns revealed that making the album was like therapy for her, saying she poured her emotions into the songs while processing the loss of her grandfather and the end of a significant relationship. “It’s very honest and vulnerable,” she admitted, adding that she hopes it offers comfort to others going through similar experiences.
Despite postponing her tour, Burns assured fans that her scheduled in-store performances will go ahead as planned. As she continues to appear on Celebrity Traitors , where she’s made it to the final stages, fans have rallied around her online, praising her honesty and self-awareness.
Ultimately, Cat Burns’ decision to prioritize her wellbeing is being met with respect and understanding from her supporters. It serves as a reminder that even in the demanding world of music and fame, taking a step back to protect one’s mental health is both brave and necessary.
