Dave Franco and Cast to Hologram Into Dallas for Movie Selfies
Hey everyone, here’s something really cool happening in Dallas that movie fans are going to love. Imagine stepping into a theater and suddenly finding yourself face-to-face with your favorite movie stars—but here’s the twist—they’re holograms. That’s exactly what’s about to happen for the new movie Now You See Me: Now You Don’t . Starting November 14, the Cinemark theater on Webb Chapel Road in Dallas will host a first-of-its-kind promotion where actors Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Justice Smith, and Ariana Greenblatt will appear as holograms right in the theater lobby. And yes, you can take selfies with them—literally with the cast “themselves” snapping photos alongside you.

This mind-blowing experience is powered by Proto Hologram, the same tech company that has previously created immersive holograms in other high-profile venues. Lionsgate, the movie’s distributor, is behind this unique campaign, and they promise it’s like stepping into a world of magic. The holograms will even pull out their own phones to take selfies with attendees, and you’ll be able to download the images instantly via QR codes. Kevin Grayson, Lionsgate’s president of Worldwide Distribution, summed it up perfectly, saying, “This amazing technology borders on magic, so there’s no better way to anticipate the release of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t . Get your selfies with the cast now, before they disappear.”
It’s not just about selfies, though. The movie itself promises an action-packed return of the Four Horsemen—Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher—joining a new generation of illusionists played by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt. Their mission? Expose the corruption of Veronika Vanderberg, a powerful diamond heiress played by Rosamund Pike, who has dangerous ties to arms dealers and traffickers. With guidance from the legendary Thaddeus, played by Morgan Freeman, the two generations of magicians must combine their talents to outwit a clever and dangerous adversary. Audiences are promised thrilling illusions, clever twists, and some of the most visually impressive magic ever captured on screen.
David Nussbaum, founder and chairman of Proto Hologram, called this promotion the largest theatrical hologram activation the company has ever done. In addition to Dallas, 14 other theaters across the U.S., including locations in Phoenix, Los Angeles, New York, and Houston, will host similar holographic pop-ups. But for Dallas fans, the experience at Cinemark Webb Chapel will be the perfect chance to step inside a little bit of movie magic before the film even hits the big screen.
So if you’re in Dallas next week, this is one of those rare events where technology, Hollywood, and a touch of magic come together—and yes, Dave Franco is ready to take a selfie with you. Don’t miss it!
