After the massive success of Bison , Dhruv Vikram has firmly established himself as one of Tamil cinema’s brightest young stars. His performance in the film, which showcased both his physicality and emotional depth, has been widely praised, and audiences are eager to see what he does next. But the latest buzz from the industry suggests that Dhruv has made a surprising career choice: he reportedly turned down the Tamil remake of the Bollywood action thriller Kill .

According to multiple reports, the decision may have been influenced by his Bison director, Mari Selvaraj. The reasoning is said to be simple yet thoughtful—after delivering such an intense, action-packed performance in Bison , it was advised that Dhruv avoid immediately jumping into another violent and gory role. Out of respect for his mentor and the guidance given, Dhruv is believed to have politely declined the project, even though he was considered the frontrunner to play the lead character, originally portrayed by Lakshya in the Hindi version.
For those unfamiliar, Kill is a high-octane thriller that tells the story of Amrit, an NSG commando who boards a train to see his girlfriend, only to find himself in the middle of a violent ambush by dacoits. The movie’s tense sequences and life-or-death scenarios quickly made it a standout, and now its remakes are planned in several languages, including Tamil and English. The Tamil adaptation, however, appears to have hit a temporary roadblock with Dhruv stepping away from the lead role.
Rumors also suggest that Vijay Kumar may be approached to play the antagonist, a part originally played by Raghav Juyal in the Hindi version. But so far, there has been no official confirmation regarding the casting or any updates on the film’s production schedule.
Meanwhile, Dhruv Vikram is already looking ahead. After portraying Kittan, a young kabaddi player with dreams of representing India on the international stage in Bison , he is reportedly in talks to collaborate with renowned director Mani Ratnam for his next project. Fans are anxiously waiting for more details about this film and are curious to see how Dhruv continues to shape his career trajectory.
For now, the Tamil remake of Kill remains in speculation, while Dhruv Vikram’s careful choice to skip another violent role immediately after Bison has reinforced the idea that he is a thoughtful actor, making career decisions with both artistic and personal considerations in mind. His journey is closely followed, and every new announcement sparks excitement across the Tamil film industry and beyond.
