Jack Osbourne Joins I'm A Celebrity as a Last-Minute Replacement
Jack Osbourne, the 40-year-old TV personality and son of music icon Ozzy Osbourne, has been added to the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! lineup at the eleventh hour. The announcement came after another contestant unexpectedly dropped out, prompting producers to scramble for a last-minute replacement. Jack revealed in an interview that he only learned about his participation in the show on November 2, giving him just 10 days to prepare for the infamous Australian jungle.
Despite the short notice, Jack took the opportunity in stride. "I think I was a last-ditch effort. Clearly, someone backed out and they were like, ‘F***, who do we call?’" he said, laughing. Before heading out to Australia, Jack made sure to indulge in some comfort food, stocking up on chocolate digestives and Pot Noodles as he anticipated the rigorous challenges ahead. "I was probably just gonna eat as much as I can before going in," he joked, describing his pre-jungle eating habits as “fine cuisine.”
The identity of the contestant who dropped out has not been officially confirmed, though previous reports suggested that radio host Nick Ferrari had pulled out due to concerns from his employers. Additionally, boxer Conor Benn had also been in talks to join the show before ultimately backing out.

Jack’s sudden appearance on the show came at a time of personal loss. His father, Ozzy Osbourne, passed away in July 2025 at the age of 76, and Jack admitted that leaving his family behind, especially in the wake of his father’s death, was difficult. However, his family, including his mother Sharon and sister Kelly, have been fully supportive of his decision to join the show. “My family are all very, very supportive of me doing this,” Jack shared, revealing that his sister Kelly encouraged him to “go have fun.”
During his time in the jungle, Jack has hinted that there are certain topics he would prefer to avoid. While he's open to discussing many things, he stated that the death of his father would likely not be a subject he’d want to broach on national television, especially given the 24/7 filming. “Obviously, there are certain things I probably won’t discuss,” he said. However, Jack acknowledged that emotional moments naturally arise in the camp, especially during the nightly campfire chats, which often lead to "trauma bonding" among the celebrities.
With the show now underway, all eyes will be on Jack as he navigates the challenges of I’m A Celebrity and balances his public persona with the realities of living with multiple sclerosis (MS), a condition he’s been open about since his diagnosis in 2012. Fans are eager to see how his MS might affect his performance in the jungle, and whether it will impact his experience in a competition filled with physical and mental trials.
As the newest addition to the I’m A Celebrity family, Jack Osbourne is certainly one to watch in the coming weeks.
