Raptors Extend Winning Streak, Beat Nets 119-109
The Toronto Raptors continued their impressive run, claiming their seventh straight win and their 11th victory in the last 12 games with a 119-109 triumph over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night. Scottie Barnes led the way for Toronto, putting up 17 points, while Ja'Kobe Walter added a season-high 16. The team's depth showed as Brandon Ingram contributed 14 points, and Immanuel Quickley chipped in with 13, including eight in a crucial fourth quarter.
Despite a strong performance from Brooklyn's Tyrese Martin, who scored a season-best 26 points, and Michael Porter Jr., who added 25, the Nets couldn't close the gap in the final minutes. Noah Clowney also made a solid contribution with 22 points, and Nic Claxton grabbed 10 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome Toronto's late surge.

The game saw a pivotal moment when Toronto's RJ Barrett left the game midway through the third quarter due to a sprained right knee. Barrett had been playing well, scoring 16 points before the injury occurred after he stole the ball and dunked on a fast break.
In a game that had its share of back-and-forth action, Brooklyn briefly tied the score at 104 with a layup from Porter at 4:24 left in the game. However, Quickley responded with two three-pointers, sparking a 10-0 run by the Raptors in the following 2 ½ minutes to seal the victory.
Sandro Mamukelashvili stepped up in his first start of the season, contributing 12 points, while rookie Gradey Dick also had 12 points. Jamal Shead added 11 points to the effort. The Raptors had been missing starting center Jakob Poeltl, who sat out due to a sore lower back, but Mamukelashvili filled in admirably.
Toronto’s 65-58 lead at halftime proved to be critical as they maintained their momentum through the second half. Despite the loss, Brooklyn had several standout performances and will look to bounce back as they head into a home matchup against the New York Knicks on Monday.
Up next, the Raptors will also face a quick turnaround, hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. The team will be looking to extend their dominant stretch, and with players like Barnes and Quickley stepping up, they appear ready to continue their successful season.
