Ruby Wax Escalates Feud with 'I'm a Celebrity' Campmate Angry Ginge
Ruby Wax is no stranger to stirring things up, and her time on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! has been no different. The comedienne, already known for her sharp wit and unapologetic humor, has now added fuel to her ongoing feud with campmate Angry Ginge, with a series of sharp remarks that have left some viewers in shock.

The tension between Ruby and Angry Ginge began from the moment they met. During the I'm a Celebrity launch show, things got off to an awkward start when Ginge blocked Ruby on camera. But the real sparks flew when Ruby was paired up with Ginge for the first Bushtucker Trial. As Ant and Dec announced the pair's names, Ruby’s response was telling. She remarked in the Bush Telegraph, “Of all the people in the camp, I’m happiest to be paired up with Ginge because I know he’ll have my back,” before quickly adding, “I know he’s a gentleman underneath the kind of, erm… moronic exterior.”
Her comment didn’t go unnoticed by viewers, with many questioning her intention behind the “moronic” jab. Despite this, Ruby seemed to maintain a sense of humor about the situation. Later, when the group was preparing for the trial, Ruby took another swipe at Ginge, claiming that he was standing in her light, causing a shadow. “I’m just going to move you out of the way throughout the show because I am small and it throws a shadow,” she quipped, further highlighting the tension between the two. Ginge, for his part, apologized, though the rest of the group nervously laughed, unsure how to react to Ruby's behavior.
Despite the undercurrent of hostility, the pair did manage to work together during the trial. In a rather dramatic moment, they sat down to tackle a disgusting eating challenge. Ruby, known for her fearless attitude, ended up finishing a particularly challenging dish—‘The Knob Beckett’, which was a bull's penis with a sparkler on top. Though visibly nauseous, Ruby and Ginge returned to camp victorious, having secured all ten stars for the camp.
While some fans found Ruby’s behavior hilarious, others were not so amused. Critics on social media have expressed their displeasure with her snarky remarks about Ginge, with some calling her actions “rude” and “unnecessary.” On the other hand, Ruby’s fans—particularly those who remember her from her 80s and 90s TV heyday—defended her humor, suggesting that younger viewers, especially Gen Z, may not fully appreciate her brand of comedy.
