WBBL|11 Kicks Off with Exciting Triple-Header and Star-Studded Lineups
The WBBL is back, and it’s bigger and more thrilling than ever! The 11th edition of the Women’s Big Bash League, WBBL|11, is set to launch this Sunday, November 9, with a spectacular opening day featuring a triple-header. The season begins at Allan Border Field with a rematch of last season’s final, as the Brisbane Heat face off against the Melbourne Renegades. This first game is scheduled for 1:40 pm AEDT, and it promises to be an exciting curtain-raiser. The action continues at the same venue with the Sydney Thunder taking on the Hobart Hurricanes, before the day wraps up with the Perth Scorchers hosting the Sydney Sixers at the WACA Ground.
WBBL|11 will feature a total of 43 games spread across 35 days, ensuring non-stop cricketing action. Each team is guaranteed a home match within the first ten days of the season, providing fans with plenty of chances to catch live action. Key events like the Melbourne Derby and Sydney Smash will take place over weekends, and there will even be a ‘West Fest’ on November 22, when the Scorchers host the Adelaide Strikers at the WACA Ground. The regular season will conclude on December 7, followed by the playoffs, culminating in the WBBL|11 Final on December 13, hosted by the team that finishes top of the table.
