Toledano explained that the election accelerated these decisions, as many residents are nervous about the city’s future under Mamdani’s proposed policies, from taxes to crime concerns.
Despite the anxiety, Toledano noted that the buyers relocating south tend to be financially strong, benefiting from gains in stocks, crypto, and other ventures.
