Arthur Blank’s Offseason Review Puts Raheem Morris’ Future in Doubt

And when insiders say “entire,” they really mean everything—from the front office to the coaching staff, including head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot. When you look at Terry Fontenot’s background, it’s clear he’s got plenty of experience. He spent nearly two decades with the Saints and rose steadily through their scouting ranks before taking the Falcons’ GM job in 2021. But despite that résumé, the team hasn't had a winning season during his tenure, and patience from the fanbase is wearing thin.
Raheem Morris’ journey has been long and winding, too. He started coaching back in 1998, worked his way up with the Buccaneers, even served as their head coach in 2009, and later held roles with Washington and the Rams. The Falcons brought him back as their head coach in 2024. But since then, he’s posted a 16–24 record, and this season has felt especially rough. Reports suggest the locker room’s confidence in the coaching staff has started to fracture, which isn’t a great sign when the team is already spiraling.
Fans came into the year expecting a playoff push, especially with explosive players like Bijan Robinson and Drake London. Instead, they’ve watched a talented roster underperform while serious questions mount about leadership, play-calling, and the ongoing quarterback shuffle.

Arthur Blank has always been patient—sometimes too patient in the eyes of fans—but the signals coming from inside the organization suggest that big changes are closer than ever.
