Coles Issues Urgent Recall After Plastic Found in Popular Snackaballs

For the Hazelnut option, the affected packets are those marked 3 SEP 2026 and 11 SEP 2026 . For the Raspberry version, the problematic dates are 11 SEP 2026 , 15 SEP 2026 , and 16 OCT 2026 . Any Snackaballs with those dates should be treated as unsafe, even if they look completely fine on the outside.
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand has also stepped in to highlight the seriousness of the situation. The organisation issued an alert explaining that consuming food containing plastic could lead to illness or injury, which is why customers have been strongly urged not to eat the product under any circumstances. It’s a precaution, but a very necessary one.
If you’ve already bought one of these packets, the solution is simple: just take it back to any Coles supermarket and you’ll receive a full refund. No receipt is required, and no questions will be asked. The priority is making sure no one ends up unknowingly eating the product.
