Fortnite Crashes as Playboi Carti’s Massive Crossover Takes Over

Fortnite has seen plenty of high-profile crossovers over the years, but the arrival of Playboi Carti has taken the frenzy to a whole new level. The collaboration, officially scheduled to drop on December 11, 2025, has already generated such overwhelming excitement that Fortnite’s servers briefly crashed when early glimpses of Carti’s in-game debut were released. It was a moment that showed just how huge his fanbase is—and how strongly it overlaps with Fortnite’s culture.

This crossover was revealed through Fortnite’s official channels, where players were told to expect an Icon Series skin inspired by Carti’s distinct style. His signature dreadlocks, the bold red aesthetic, and potentially multiple style variants are all part of what fans are gearing up for. On top of that, Fortnite Festival players will receive a new Jam Track titled “EVIL J0RDAN,” a song that has already become closely associated with Carti’s unique artistic energy. An accompanying emote and themed accessories, like a back bling or pickaxe, are expected as well.

During the Zero Hour event, players were given a surprise early look at Carti’s appearance. In one of the most talked-about moments, the game suddenly transported players to a basketball court where everyone transformed into Playboi Carti himself. “EVIL J0RDAN” played in the background while a Carti avatar performed slick basketball tricks at center court. The skin shown in that sequence featured a blue jersey labeled “I AM MUSIC,” the number 00, and accessories like a custom belt buckle, suspenders, and rugged boots. It was a style that drew clear inspiration from a well-known Allen Iverson look Carti once rocked.

As far as pricing goes, the pattern from past Icon Series releases suggests that the standalone Playboi Carti outfit will likely be priced around 1,500 V-Bucks. The complete bundle—including the skin, emote, cosmetics, and the Jam Track—should land near the 2,500 V-Bucks range. The “EVIL J0RDAN” Jam Track itself is expected to sell separately for about 500 V-Bucks. Because major crossovers like this one tend to be limited-time offerings, players are being encouraged to save their V-Bucks ahead of the shop rotation on December 11.

What makes this moment even more exciting is how well Carti’s aesthetic blends with Fortnite’s world. The hype cycle began days before the announcement, with fans speculating about emotes inspired by his performances. Once the confirmation hit, players flooded the game almost instantly, overwhelming servers and proving just how anticipated this debut really was.

With Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 and Winterfest approaching, many more collaborations are expected, but it’s already clear that the Playboi Carti crossover will be one of the standout events of the season.
