Ken Nunn, a prominent Indiana attorney, passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 85. Widely known for founding the Ken Nunn Law Office, Nunn's legacy as a personal injury lawyer has made a significant impact not only in his community but across the entire state.

In 1967, he started his legal journey with humble beginnings, setting up his first office with nothing more than a card table and folding chairs in Bloomington. Despite this modest start, Nunn’s determination to succeed was unwavering. He believed in fighting tirelessly for his clients, regardless of the challenges. This fierce dedication was shaped, in part, by his admiration for the story of To Kill a Mockingbird , a movie that inspired him to fight for justice and fairness for the injured.

Over time, his law firm grew to become the largest personal injury practice in Indiana, serving all 92 counties. The firm’s success was built on a reputation for tenacity and care, values that Nunn instilled in his employees and family. His passion for the work was rivaled only by his love for Indiana University, especially IU basketball, and his deep commitment to giving back to the community. Nunn's generosity extended to charitable efforts, including his annual donation of bikes to local children, a tradition he had maintained for over 15 years.

Nunn is survived by his daughter, Vicky, who was inspired to follow in his footsteps and became a lawyer herself. Vicky has been a part of the firm since 2001 and will take over its leadership, continuing the work her father began. His son, David, and two grandchildren, Katie and Jimmy, also mourn his loss. In a heartfelt tribute, Vicky shared on social media, “We loved him so much, and we looked up to him to guide us.”

Ken Nunn’s impact on Indiana’s legal landscape, his love for his family, and his devotion to his community will not be forgotten. His passing marks the end of an era for his law firm, but his legacy of perseverance and compassion will continue through the work of his daughter and the countless lives he touched over his decades-long career.
