As the year winds down and the calendar flips into December, one big question is taking over music fans’ conversations: when exactly is Spotify Wrapped 2025 coming out? The platform hasn’t given an official date yet, but all signs suggest that the release is right around the corner. And honestly, the suspense is becoming part of the tradition.

Spotify Wrapped has become a cultural moment of its own. What started back in 2015 as “Year in Music” was rebranded in 2016 and has grown every year since, turning into this colorful, interactive recap of everything you listened to over the past twelve months. It shows how your music tastes have changed, who your top artists were, which songs you couldn’t stop playing, and even how many minutes you spent listening. Over the years, it has been expanded with features like The Music Evolution, personalized playlists, reimagined visuals for top artists, and most recently, AI-powered additions like an AI DJ, AI playlist tools, and even a custom podcast created from your listening habits.

For 2025, Spotify hasn’t revealed much. In fact, the company is keeping things unusually quiet, dropping only a cheeky “Coming Soon” message on social media on December 1. Before that, users were encouraged to update their apps, which is usually a sign that Wrapped is about to go live. If we look at previous release dates, though, a pattern appears pretty clearly. Wrapped almost always arrives in late November or early December, usually the week right after Thanksgiving. For the past several years, it has dropped on a Wednesday. That makes Wednesday, December 3, 2025, the most likely date based on the release rhythm Spotify has followed from 2021 through 2024.

One of the most common questions is when Spotify actually stops counting your listening data. And even though the exact cutoff isn’t confirmed, a bit of clarity has been shared. Spotify has said that data collection starts at the very beginning of January each year, and the company continues tracking until just a few weeks before Wrapped launches. Last year, they even clarified that the tracking does not stop on October 31, despite the usual Halloween rumors. It typically wraps up sometime in early or mid-November, meaning those songs you play after Wrapped comes out won’t be part of your stats.

Getting your Wrapped is simple: just have a Spotify account, keep your app updated, and listen regularly. When it finally drops, the app usually greets you with a pop-up carousel, and the whole experience unfolds from there.

So for now, all eyes are on Spotify’s next move. With the hints already out there and the calendar lining up just right, Wrapped 2025 is expected to roll out any day. And when it does, millions of users will be ready to share their music personalities with the world once again.
