A Change.org petition was launched, calling on Netflix to release what supporters described as “unseen footage” from the final season. The petition spread fast and, at last count, had gathered more than 316,000 signatures. Many fans said they felt the ending was rushed and believed more material had originally been planned but later cut.
Havens directly addressed comparisons being made to the famous “Snyder Cut” of Justice League , which was released years after a massive fan campaign. That situation, however, was described as completely different. In this case, it was made clear that no alternate version exists and no grand reveal is coming later.
