Emma Raducanu Strikes Back With Dominant Queens Club Win
Emma Raducanu has secured a crucial victory at the Queen's Club, reaching the second round with a commanding performance. This win marks a significant moment for the British number one, who has been seeking momentum after a challenging period.
The former US Open champion faced Russian qualifier Anna Blinkova on the Andy Murray Arena. After a brief rain delay, Raducanu immediately asserted her dominance, winning the opening set with a decisive bagel, six games to love. This strong start showcased her returning to form on the grass courts she favours.

Despite a brief challenge in the second set where Blinkova fought back, Raducanu responded with resilience, ultimately sealing the match six-nil, six-three. Her performance was praised by former British number one Annabel Croft, who noted Raducanu's confidence, footwork and serve timing as fantastic.
Raducanu herself expressed her happiness after the match, stating, "I am so happy to come through that match. I haven't won a match for a few months and there's no better place to have done it than here." She added that she thrives on the home crowd's atmosphere.
This victory propels Raducanu into the second round, where she will face either Sorana Cirstea or Maddison Inglis. She is also scheduled to compete in the women's doubles later today with her doubles partner Katie Boulter.
The tournament also features the highly anticipated return of tennis legend Serena Williams, who is making her comeback in the women's doubles alongside Victoria Mboko.
