Tragic Discovery of Missing 8-Year-Old Boy Found Dead in Lake Near Richmond, Texas

Ryan was last seen in the early hours of Saturday, around 4:30 a.m., according to surveillance footage from his home. His mother, Ademorowa Oladeinde, discovered that he had left their house on Kendall Lake Drive at around 5:45 a.m. A neighbor's security camera captured him walking down a nearby street shortly thereafter. His shoes were later found on the road, raising immediate concerns about his safety.

The search intensified on Saturday afternoon, with Texas EquuSearch, a volunteer organization dedicated to finding missing persons, joining the efforts. Authorities cordoned off parts of a nearby retention pond and deployed K9 units to assist in the search. As night fell, sonar equipment detected unusual activity in the lake, but the search had to be postponed until daylight for safety reasons.
On Sunday morning, around 6:45 a.m., search teams recovered Ryan's body from the lake. The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has stated that there are no signs of foul play at this time, although the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are reviewing additional surveillance footage from the neighborhood to piece together the events leading up to Ryan's tragic death.
