
Dortmund's Thrilling Comeback Victory Over Bochum, Led by Guirassy's Heroics
Borussia Dortmund fans witnessed a rollercoaster match as their team secured a thrilling 4-2 comeback victory against VfL Bochum. The match, played at Signal Iduna Park, was a dramatic one, with Dortmund overturning a 0-2 deficit to clinch the win, thanks to a remarkable performance by Serhou Guirassy.
Bochum started the game strongly, putting immense pressure on the Dortmund defense. Matus Bero opened the scoring in the 16th minute, capitalizing on a one-two with Philipp Hofmann before driving a low shot past Dortmund's goalkeeper, Gregor Kobel. The early shock didn't end there. In the 21st minute, after a mistake by Kobel, Don de Wit doubled Bochum's lead, leaving Dortmund trailing by two goals and their fans visibly frustrated.

The first half seemed to be slipping away from Dortmund, but just before the break, Guirassy gave the home crowd hope. In the 43rd minute, the Guinean striker headed home a cross from Julian Brandt, reducing the deficit to 1-2. This goal lifted the team’s spirits as they went into halftime.
Dortmund returned for the second half with renewed intensity. Guirassy continued to be a key figure and earned a penalty in the 60th minute, which was coolly converted by Emre Can to level the score at 2-2. With momentum now in their favor, Dortmund pushed hard for a winner. In the 75th minute, Guirassy found the back of the net again, finishing a brilliant pass from Karim Adeyemi to put Dortmund 3-2 ahead.
Bochum tried to respond but struggled to regain control. The game was sealed in the 81st minute when Felix Nmecha added a fourth for Dortmund, leaving Bochum's defense in disarray. Despite a slow and shaky start, Dortmund’s resilience and Guirassy’s standout performance turned the tide, securing a much-needed win.
This victory helped Dortmund bounce back after a recent 1-5 defeat against Stuttgart, while Bochum remains in a difficult position with just one point from five matches. For Dortmund, this comeback win was not only crucial for the points but also for the morale of both the team and the fans.
