$2.9 Million Lotterywest Grant Fuels New Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centre in Innaloo

Exciting news for the local community in Innaloo—thanks to a generous $2.9 million grant from Lotterywest, a new drug and alcohol treatment centre is set to open. This funding will allow Cyrenian House, a renowned provider of alcohol and drug treatment services, to expand its capacity and better meet the growing needs of people in the northern metropolitan area. The centre, located on Scarborough Beach Road, will replace the existing facility in Warwick with a more modern, purpose-built space.

The new centre is designed with the community in mind. Spanning two floors and over 950 square meters, it will feature a range of facilities, including counselling and treatment rooms, a boardroom, offices, and a training room. One of the key features is soundproofed counselling rooms, which will allow clients to receive care in a safe and private setting. Cyrenian House CEO Carol Daws expressed the importance of this upgrade, highlighting how the new space will provide a welcoming and therapeutic environment. The project aims to offer not only physical space but also dignity and respect to those battling addiction.
