Ex-Metropolitan Police Officer David Carrick Charged with Multiple Sexual Offences
Former Metropolitan Police officer David Carrick, once a trusted member of the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, now finds himself facing serious charges. On October 7, 2024, it was announced that Carrick, 49, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, has been charged with eight sexual offences. These charges include five counts of indecent assault, two counts of rape, and one count of sexual assault, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Carrick has also been charged with coercive and controlling behavior, marking this case as especially disturbing.
The offences span over three decades, with the first set of charges dating back to 1989 when Carrick was just 14 years old. During this period, he allegedly committed five counts of indecent assault against one woman. The second set of charges involves another woman and covers offences committed between 2014 and 2019.
