Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo is at the center of controversy following multiple allegations of sexually inappropriate and intimidating behavior spanning over 12 years. The Italian TV personality, famous for his lively and cheeky on-screen persona, now faces serious claims from numerous individuals, painting a disturbing picture of behind-the-scenes misconduct.

According to a shocking investigation by ITV News, several production companies were allegedly aware of repeated complaints regarding D’Acampo’s behavior but continued to work with him. One woman, identified as Hannah , recounted a troubling incident from 2011 during a magazine shoot where D’Acampo made an explicit sexual comment in front of an entire crew. She described feeling humiliated as some laughed while others nervously avoided eye contact. Another woman, Natalie , alleged that during a location shoot briefing, D’Acampo opened the door wearing only his boxer shorts, jumped onto a bed, and made crude remarks about his private parts. She described feeling disgusted and believed he was using his position to behave inappropriately.
A former colleague from a 2019 production also alleged that D’Acampo aggressively confronted a young crew member over an ice cream, making an inappropriate comment about the runner’s girlfriend. Witnesses to the incident claim it left a lasting impact, highlighting a pattern of behavior that many now see as abusive.
Further allegations include an incident during the filming of Gordon, Gino, and Fred’s Road Trip in 2018, where D’Acampo allegedly made lewd remarks about a female colleague’s body. Reports suggest that Objective Media Group, the production company behind the show, was aware of complaints about him as early as 2018 but continued working with him. Some women who have worked on his shows claim that his “cheeky chappy” image has allowed him to act inappropriately without consequence.
D’Acampo has strongly denied all allegations, calling them "deeply upsetting" and insisting that he has never been made aware of such complaints before. His legal team argues that many of these claims are being raised for the first time and that he does not recall any of the alleged incidents. They also emphasize that he has worked with over 1,500 people across 80 productions throughout his career, with no prior complaints raised against him directly.
ITV and various production companies are now facing scrutiny over how they handled past complaints. An ITV spokesperson stated that they "categorically do not tolerate this kind of behavior." Despite this, it has been confirmed that D’Acampo was "spoken to" about his conduct and even underwent "bespoke training" at one point.
With mounting pressure and uncertainty surrounding these allegations, the future of Gino D’Acampo’s television career remains in question.
