Rangers Dominate Ross County with a 4-0 Victory at Ibrox
What a game at Ibrox! Rangers put on a commanding performance against Ross County, securing a 4-0 victory and keeping up the pressure in the Scottish Premiership title race. From the first whistle, Philippe Clement's side looked sharp, aggressive, and in full control, and the result was never really in doubt.
It was Ianis Hagi who stole the show early on, striking twice in the first half to set the tone for the match. His first came in the 18th minute after Ross County's goalkeeper, Jordan Amissah, could only parry Vaclav Cerny’s shot into his path. Hagi made no mistake, calmly slotting it home. Just seven minutes later, he doubled his tally with a free-kick that took a wicked deflection off the top of the wall, completely wrong-footing the keeper.

By the 36th minute, Rangers had extended their lead to 3-0, with John Souttar finding the net after a well-worked corner routine. Nico Raskin provided the assist, flicking the ball on for the defender to fire into the roof of the net. At halftime, it was already looking like a long night for Ross County, who struggled to contain Rangers' relentless attack.
The second half was more of the same, with Rangers controlling possession and dictating the tempo. James Tavernier, the ever-reliable captain, added the fourth goal from the penalty spot in the 79th minute after Connor Randall fouled Cyriel Dessers inside the box. Tavernier stepped up and calmly slotted it past Amissah, putting the finishing touch on a dominant performance.
For Ross County, it was another tough outing against Rangers. They have now conceded 13 goals without reply in their three meetings this season. Don Cowie’s side started well, limiting Rangers’ chances in the opening minutes, but once the first goal went in, they struggled to recover. County are now second from bottom in the league, and with a crucial run of fixtures ahead, they need to bounce back quickly.
As for Rangers, it’s another statement victory. They’ve now gone 11 games unbeaten in domestic competition, and the momentum is clearly with them. Philippe Clement praised his team’s growth and development, emphasizing the exciting future ahead for his squad. However, former Rangers striker Steven Thompson pointed out that while this kind of form is impressive, it might be too late to challenge Celtic for the title this season.
Regardless, this was as comfortable a victory as Rangers could have hoped for, and with key players finding their rhythm, the second half of the season promises to be an exciting one for the Ibrox faithful.
