The 2025 Castrol Rising Stars showcased the brightest young talent in the NBA, and Team C emerged victorious with an impressive run, capping it off with a 25-14 win over Team G League in the championship game. San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle was the star of the night, delivering 12 points and two assists to claim MVP honors. From the opening game, Team C set the tone. In the semifinals, they took down Team T in a tight battle, holding off a late push before Castle sealed the game with a clutch step-back jumper. Shooting 61% from the field, Team C showed their efficiency, with Utah Jazz’s Keyonte George leading the charge alongside Castle. On the other side, Team G League’s path to the final was a thriller. Bryce McGowens of the Portland Trail Blazers drilled a last-second three-pointer to edge out Team M 40-39 in the semifinals. Leonard Miller (Minnesota Timberwolves) and McGowens combined for 26 points, while Houston Rockets’ Amen Thompson led Team M with 10.

In the championship game, Team C wasted no time asserting dominance. Castle was in full control, at one point scoring eight consecutive points to build momentum. The final dagger came when he found George on the wing for a game-winning three-pointer in transition. Team G League, despite their fight, couldn’t keep up with Team C’s firepower.

With the win, Team C advances to Sunday’s All-Star mini-tournament, where they will compete against NBA All-Stars. Candace Parker, who served as honorary GM for Rising Stars, will lead them into the next stage of competition.
