TV Auctioneer Charles Hanson Cleared of All Charges
Big news today—TV auctioneer Charles Hanson, a familiar face from Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip , has been cleared of all charges following a trial at Derby Crown Court . The allegations, which included assaulting his wife and coercive control over a span of ten years , were dismissed after the jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict .

During the trial, prosecutors had pointed to WhatsApp messages Hanson had sent his wife as alleged evidence of his abusive behavior, calling them a "set of confessions." However, his defense team challenged Rebecca Hanson's credibility , arguing that she had distorted events to create a false case against her husband. They also suggested that she had used the trial as an extension of their bitter divorce battle.
After weeks of intense legal arguments, the jury ultimately sided with Hanson, finding no proof beyond reasonable doubt that he had committed any crime.
For now, Hanson is looking forward to rebuilding his life and moving on from what he described as a "tormentous time."
