Jack Grealish Breaks Silence After Man City Snub
Jack Grealish has finally spoken out after once again being left out of Manchester City’s starting lineup. Despite returning from injury, the England international was omitted from the starting XI for the tenth consecutive Premier League match. However, he still found a way to mark a significant milestone in his career.
City secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Tottenham, with Erling Haaland’s goal proving decisive. Grealish made a late cameo appearance, but his time on the pitch was limited. Even so, this brief appearance was enough for him to celebrate a personal achievement—his 150th appearance for Manchester City. Taking to Instagram after the game, Grealish posted a simple yet meaningful message: “Blessed. What a club.”

Since his £100 million move from Aston Villa in 2021, Grealish has faced scrutiny over his performances. While he was instrumental in City’s treble-winning campaign last season, injuries and competition from new signings like Jeremy Doku have seen him struggle for regular starts this season. With just two goals and five assists in all competitions, his output has been questioned, and fans have expressed concerns over his lack of impact compared to other attacking options.
Pep Guardiola, however, has been clear about the reasons for Grealish’s reduced game time. The City boss insists that Grealish’s absence is due to fitness issues rather than a lack of ability. Speaking on the matter, Guardiola stated:
"There is no doubt about Jack’s quality. The issue has been his fitness. Every time he gains momentum, something happens. A small injury, a niggle—it’s been stop-start all season."
Despite speculation about his future—especially with reports that City were open to offers for him in January—Grealish remains a valued member of the squad. With the FA Cup still up for grabs, he will be hoping to prove his worth in the upcoming fixtures.
For now, his message suggests that he is staying positive, appreciating his journey at City, and looking ahead. But with growing competition and uncertainty around his role, the next few months could be crucial for his future at the Etihad.
