I still can’t believe the news. Khadiyah Jaleela Lewis, best known to many as “KD” from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta , has sadly passed away at just 44 years old. It’s honestly heartbreaking to even say that out loud. She died on May 30, 2025, and the confirmation came straight from her brother, who shared the news with The Shade Room. You could feel the weight of his words when he said, “This has been an extremely emotionally devastating time. All prayers, condolences, and well wishes are sincerely appreciated.”

For those of us who watched Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta , KD wasn’t just a cast member—she was a force. She came onto the scene in Season 3 as Yung Joc’s real estate agent and personal assistant, and then returned in Season 4 as his girlfriend. But KD was never just about being someone’s “plus one.” She held her own. She was fierce, business-savvy, and unapologetically herself. Fans remember her not just for the drama, but for the way she stood her ground. One fan said it best: “I loved her cause she ain’t let them play with her.” That’s the KD we all saw.

Outside of TV, she was a serious entrepreneur. KD owned three businesses—a real estate firm, a financial services company, and a consulting agency. Her work ethic was undeniable, and she had that rare blend of beauty, brains, and boldness. On social media, she described herself as an entrepreneur, speaker, consultant, and accountant. She was truly wearing all the hats, and she wore them well.

Her passing has hit hard, especially for those who knew her personally. Her hometown of Oklahoma City will be laying her to rest on June 11, and from the outpouring of love online, you can tell she made a lasting impact. Friends and fans alike are sharing memories, from high school stories to heartfelt condolences. One message stood out: “She had a show-stopping smile and an awesome personality.”

It’s still not clear what caused her passing, but one thing’s for sure—Khadiyah Lewis lived a full life, and she did it her way. She was a trailblazer, a hustler, and someone who never blended into the background. Whether she was closing a deal, filming a scene, or simply sharing her wisdom online, she left an impression.

Rest in peace, KD. You were one of a kind.
