Snow Patrol Returns to Glastonbury After 20 Years with Emotional Comeback Set

It’s a huge night for fans of Snow Patrol and lovers of anthemic rock. For the first time in over two decades, Snow Patrol is stepping onto the Glastonbury stage once again—this time headlining the legendary Other Stage on Sunday evening, June 29, from 6 to 7pm. It’s a performance that feels long overdue, given the band’s storied career and emotional connection to fans across generations.

Back in 2004, Snow Patrol first graced the festival grounds of Worthy Farm. Since then, they’ve become a staple of the UK music scene with powerful tracks that blend intimacy and grandeur. They were due to return in 2019 but unfortunately had to pull out because of an injury, making this year's show all the more meaningful. After releasing The Forest Is the Path last year—an album that marked their first release in six years—the timing for a Glasto return couldn't be better.

Tonight, fans can expect a nostalgic yet fresh performance filled with singalong moments and emotional depth. If their recent show in Belfast is any indication, the setlist is stacked with hits. From the sweeping emotional rush of “Run” to the slow-burning epic “Chasing Cars,” we’re likely to hear fan favourites like “Chocolate,” “Open Your Eyes,” and “Just Say Yes.” The band’s new material will also likely find a home in the set, making the performance both a reflection and a reintroduction.

There are, of course, some schedule clashes to consider. While Snow Patrol is on the Other Stage, Nile Rodgers & Chic will be grooving on the Pyramid Stage. Meanwhile, St. Vincent will bring her genre-bending sound to Woodsies, The Brian Jonestown Massacre will rock West Holts, and Kate Tempest will be taking over The Park Stage. That said, for those craving the emotional resonance that only Snow Patrol can deliver, the choice is clear.

Can’t make it to the festival grounds? No worries—BBC Four has your back. They’ll be broadcasting highlights from the set starting at 9pm. You can also catch live streams throughout the weekend on BBC iPlayer, covering all the major stages, including the Other Stage where Snow Patrol will deliver their long-awaited return.

Tonight is more than just a performance. It’s a reunion, a return to form, and a celebration of everything Snow Patrol has meant to fans for the past thirty years. Whether you're in the crowd or tuning in from home, this set promises to stir something deep—just like only Snow Patrol can.
