Chappell Roan Surprises Fans With Pop-Up Shows in Kansas City
Guess what’s just been announced that has Kansas City music fans buzzing? Chappell Roan, the rising pop star and Missouri native who’s been dominating the charts and recently won the 2025 Grammy for Best New Artist, is making a surprise return home this fall — and she’s doing it in style with two special pop-up concerts.
Roan revealed that she’ll be bringing her latest live experience, “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things,” to the National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City for two nights only — Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4. These aren’t just regular shows either — they’re limited-capacity, outdoor pop-up events meant to feel intimate, unexpected, and totally unforgettable.

Tickets aren’t just going on sale the regular way. Instead, fans are being asked to register in advance through the Fair AXS platform, and registration is only open from July 24 through Sunday, July 27. Once registration closes, a random selection process will take place, and the lucky fans chosen will be notified by email. If selected, they’ll be able to purchase up to four tickets during the exclusive sale window from August 5 to 7.
What’s cool is that these Kansas City concerts are part of a very short run of U.S. shows Roan is doing in just three cities: New York, Los Angeles, and here in Missouri — her home state. The concerts in New York and L.A. are also limited engagements, making this entire series a highly sought-after event. Given how fast Roan’s star is rising — thanks to hits like “Pink Pony Club” and “Good Luck, Babe!” — these tickets are expected to go fast.
Roan mentioned in a statement that she picked these three cities because they hold a special place in her heart. She also emphasized her commitment to keeping tickets affordable, wanting to give back to her fans while supporting causes that matter to her. In fact, $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to organizations that support transgender youth, something she’s been vocal about advocating for.
For anyone interested in catching this one-of-a-kind show under the Kansas City skyline, make sure to head to the AXS site before Sunday to register. There won’t be another chance like this anytime soon.
