Trump Denies Lewd Birthday Letter to Epstein Amid WSJ Controversy

So, here's what's been making headlines lately — and it’s one of those stories that blends politics, controversy, and shock value all in one package. The Wall Street Journal recently reported something that’s stirred up a lot of attention: a lewd birthday letter allegedly bearing Donald Trump’s name and signature was included in a collection of items gifted to Jeffrey Epstein on his 50th birthday. Now, this isn’t just a regular birthday card we’re talking about — this letter reportedly included a crude drawing of a naked woman, with Trump’s name signed in a rather provocative place, and it ended with the phrase, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

Naturally, this revelation sent waves through political and media circles. Trump, for his part, has strongly denied having anything to do with the letter. In a statement to the Wall Street Journal, he said, “I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women.” He completely distanced himself from the drawing and the message, claiming the language doesn’t match his style and that the entire thing is fabricated.

Not stopping there, Trump took to Truth Social and made it clear he plans to sue the Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, and Rupert Murdoch personally. He and his team, including press secretary Karoline Leavitt, claim they warned the outlet about publishing the letter, calling it a "fake" and threatening legal action if it went live.

Vice President JD Vance even chimed in, calling the report “complete and utter bullshit.” Still, the story adds more fuel to the fire around Trump’s past associations with Epstein — a man already infamous for his ties to sex trafficking and whose mysterious jailhouse death continues to feed conspiracy theories.

To make matters more complicated, this controversy comes just as Trump is facing pushback from parts of his own MAGA base. Many of his supporters have been frustrated with the Justice Department’s decision not to release additional Epstein files. When Trump told them to let it go and even called their obsession with Epstein a “hoax,” it didn’t sit well. He referred to it as the “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax” and said some of his past supporters fell for it “hook, line, and sinker.”

While he later offered that Attorney General Pam Bondi could release any remaining “credible” documents, he made it clear he doesn’t back the idea of appointing a special prosecutor to re-open the Epstein investigation — despite calls from some of his closest allies.

What’s also interesting is that the letter in question was reportedly part of a birthday album compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate who’s now in prison for child sex trafficking. This album, according to the Wall Street Journal, was reviewed by Justice Department officials years ago during their investigation.

Of course, Trump’s connection to Epstein has long been scrutinized. They were seen together at social events in the '90s and early 2000s, and Trump’s name showed up in flight logs for Epstein’s private jet. But Trump has always insisted their friendship soured well before Epstein’s legal troubles in 2008 and that they hadn’t spoken in over a decade when Epstein was arrested again in 2019.

Bottom line — this story isn’t just another tabloid splash. It’s another layer in a long-running saga that connects high-powered figures, dark allegations, and the ever-present tension between media and politics. And if Trump follows through on his threats to sue, we may not have heard the last of it.
