Tom Sandoval Moves On After AGT Exit With New Reality TV Plans
Tom Sandoval’s time on America’s Got Talent has officially wrapped, but his future in reality TV seems to be just heating up. During the quarterfinals on August 20, host Terry Crews announced the acts moving forward, and it was revealed that Sandoval and his band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras, didn’t earn enough votes to advance. Their performance of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” brought plenty of energy, but it also sparked mixed reactions. Simon Cowell even hit the dreaded buzzer mid-performance, saying the sound just wasn’t up to par. Sofia Vergara agreed that the vocals struggled, although she admitted the dancing was entertaining.
After the elimination, Sandoval handled the disappointment with humor. He posted a playful Instagram video joking about Cowell’s buzzer, saying, “It haunts me.” His family, including his girlfriend Victoria Robinson and his dad, laughed along as he poked fun at the tough critique. Sandoval later admitted that an earpiece malfunction threw him off during the live show, but he still described the experience as “a blast” and said he was simply grateful to be on that stage.

Now that AGT is behind him, Sandoval is looking ahead to several new projects. He confirmed that he has already filmed House of Villains season 3, where he joins a stacked lineup of reality TV personalities like Christine Quinn, Jackie Christie, and Drita D’Avanzo. According to Sandoval, the show gave him the chance to not only compete but also to connect with castmates, joking that he even spent time making cocktails for everyone. He teased that this might end up being his favorite reality TV experience yet.
Speculation has also been swirling about whether Sandoval will appear in season 3 of The Valley with his girlfriend. While Bravo has not confirmed anything, Sandoval himself admitted he has mixed feelings about joining. He explained that he has enjoyed some time away from constant filming and hinted that other behind-the-scenes projects are in the works—though he kept those details under wraps.
Meanwhile, fans of his music won’t have to wait long to see him perform again. Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras are set to hit the road for a U.S. fall tour beginning September 19, with stops across several cities including Indianapolis, Columbus, and Key West. Despite what happened on AGT , Sandoval seems determined to keep the momentum going with his band and to show live audiences what they can really do outside the constraints of a competition stage.
Looking back, Sandoval called his AGT journey an honor and said that simply being able to share the stage with such talented acts was already a victory. While Simon Cowell’s buzzer might linger in his memory, it’s clear that Sandoval isn’t slowing down anytime soon. His story is moving from one stage to another, with both music and reality TV still very much part of his future.
