Exciting news has arrived for fans of Nintendo’s beloved video game franchise, as the first official images from the live-action Legend of Zelda movie have been revealed. The film, a collaboration between Sony and Nintendo, gives us a glimpse of the young actors bringing these iconic characters to life. Bo Bragason has been cast as the courageous Princess Zelda, and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth steps into the role of the heroic Link. The photos, shared via the Nintendo News app, show the two standing in a lush, green field, fully dressed in their signature outfits, with Zelda wielding her bow and arrow and both sporting the recognizable Hylian ears.

The film is directed by Wes Ball, known for The Maze Runner series and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes , and is set to hit theaters on May 7, 2027. Production began recently in New Zealand, and anticipation has been building since the casting announcement earlier this year. Nintendo’s legendary Shigeru Miyamoto, who is producing the film, expressed his excitement on social media, saying he was very much looking forward to seeing Bragason and Ainsworth on the big screen.
